However, their tactics vary considerably.
Comodo lets you get into the individual elements to provide security at every level. Their sandbox technology launches all files in a virtual environment, so any threats can be quarantined before installing. Plus, their cloud-based whitelisting speeds up the scan process considerably. If a problem occurs, the “Application Control” lets the user lock down their system and only open programs known to be safe. Finally, the “Game Mode” stops pop-up notifications during gameplay.

The “Idle Scan” option waits until your computer is in screensaver or sleep mode before it checks for malware to ensure it doesn’t slow down your system. Email filtering and anti-phishing technology protect you from threats sent via messages or the web. ESET also provide download scans which check all files before they actually make it to your machine. This process stops malware from making it onto your computer.
