TOPG Gushes / TOPG Rages

Written Feb 14, 2017

On That One Privacy Site, we often discuss the heavy and complex, namely matters of privacy, security, trust, transparency, and so forth.  You’ll notice in my posts and reviews, I have little patience for the dishonest and misleading and I always try to have fun with poorly constructed and Kafkaesque terms of a given company (mostly by being dry and sarcastic).  This is one of my favorite times to write, because while I usually refrain from offering opinions and recommendations, the reviews are my opportunity to open the floodgates and tell you “what I really think”.

I proposed in a recent blog post the possibility of making some new, but familiar content for the site: for example, the newly added Email Section.   I also mentioned the possibility of making something different – maybe quite a bit – different than what you’re used to.  Some of this content will take the form of a blog post where you get to listen to TOPG gush and/or rage about a topic of his choosing and also refer to himself in the 3rd person.  I have decided to call this feature “TOPG Gushes” / “TOPG Rages” depending on the type of post I decide to make.

I will, of course not be abandoning the kind of content that you currently enjoy, but rather probably be making more content in general, as I won’t be as worn out after a big project (such as the Email Section) which I plan to make more of as the year goes on.

Thanks again for all of your support and I hope you enjoy 2017 on That One Privacy Site – I think we’re off to a good start.

I started researching data about VPN services for my own knowledge, then posted the information online in the hopes the Internet might find my work useful for themselves. Through the positive feedback and assistance those in the community offered, I’ve been able to take this step into compiling all of my related work in one location and moving away from the Google Spreadsheet that it was originally created on.
