The US-based cybersecurity corp, Resecurity Inc. recently opened a new office and technology hub in Manama, Bahrain.
Rescurity, founded in 2016, provides a security suite that covers risk management, endpoint protection, and cyber intelligence. They’ve been recognized as one of the world’s most innovative cybersecurity companies, with international networks including offices in the Middle East, Rome, Seoul, Singapore, Bangkok, and North Africa.
The expansion is backed by the Bahrain Economic Development Board (Bahrain EDB), an investment promotion agency responsible for helping support the Kingdom of Bahrain. They manage investments for various industries, including cybersecurity, financial services, manufacturing, tourism, logistics, and ICT.
The offices will provide services for the market. At the same time, the technology hub will focus its efforts on extensive training for new cybersecurity personnel (a role that many countries find themselves in dire need of).
“We serve clients in a variety of industries with global reach,” explains the Chief Executive Officer of Resecurity Inc, Gene Yoo. “ our latest office and technology hub in Bahrain marks a pivotal decision to serve clients locally and in the Gulf beyond.”
Bahrain’s progressive government framework has allowed it to adapt to modern cybersecurity needs and attract consistent investments — the country even has a history of important cybersecurity-related events.
Among Bahrain’s technological achievements are:
- It was home to the first US-based Amazon Web Services office (AWS).
- It was the first country to adopt a complex Data Jurisdiction Law.
- The country adopted a historic cloud-first policy in 2017.
“Bahrain has cemented itself internationally as a trusted destination for investment backed by progressive government policies and a future ready workforce,” says Musab Abdulla, the Executive Director of Business Development Information and Communications Technology (ICT).
“Resecurity’s tech hub will facilitate the exchange of knowledge and expertise through dedicated workshops and training programs designed to further empower the local workforce with the necessary skills to navigate the ever-evolving cybersecurity landscape.”
