SD: What do you think are the worst cyberthreats today?
ThreatGEN: Apathy – none of us think that it can happen to us. Security awareness programs are of the utmost importance, to ensure that everyone knows how easy it is to fall into traps. Even cybersecurity professionals have to be warry every day with the e-mails, social media, and other risks that we ALL face.
One of my clients is a software as a service (SaaS) company with over 20,000 small clients, usually unsophisticated worked on heavy equipment worth millions of dollars and less than 10 employees. The head of this SaaS company told me that fully 8% of their clients were experiencing ransomware attacks. Now that is significant.
