Safety Detectives: Please share your company background, how you got started, and your mission.

SureNet: SureNet Technologies is a North American subsidiary of Helix World. Through years of development, validation, and testing, Helix has created a disruptive networking platform that uses a unique method of data transmission over the public internet. There was a time when wireline copper was the standard for telephony worldwide and then came cellular telephony that leapfrogged that technology in its entirety. It opened the door and created the mobile/wireless world we live in today. We want to accomplish the same for the wireless world by bypassing security and data transmissions hurdles faced by global corporations and governments seeking privacy, stability, and connectivity simply by utilizing the infrastructure of the public internet. That’s right—our Helix MSTN technology is enabling the construction of private worldwide networks of connectivity by using the public internet. This is a deep and unique innovation of our company.

SD: What is the main service your company offers?

SureNet: Mobile operators, for example, face several growing networking hurdles—rapidly evolving mobile edge needs, expensive data transit, management complexity, significant security issues—that all require expensive solutions. Helix, through its proprietary engineering, transforms the network from an expensive, fixed-asset infrastructure to a secure virtual mobile service. HELIX also uses existing hardware unlike other SD-Wan or MPLS solutions, which need proprietary hardware. Multiple levels of innovation—at the packet, routing, transport, and device levels—enable Helix to create a private autonomous system for each client’s installation. Our solution is easy to deploy, with its plug-and-play MMI—a centralized governance system in just a few simple steps by using commonly available, inexpensive hardware (in some cases, even virtual machines).

Helix offers three commercialization models—VSAS, NAS, OSAS—that are appropriate as a virtual service for global corporations, governments, and operators. Each provides the necessary elements of secure virtual service and is available for flexible single and multi-tenancy deployment models as a monthly subscription.

SD: What is something unique that helps you stay ahead of your competition?

SureNet: We integrate multiple dimensions of value such as multi-point connectivity, no hardware lock-in, reduced congestion, packet loss, latency, jitter, improvement in bandwidth utilization, range of edge form factors, and much more. This is all done through a centralized system of hardware and software positioned strategically in 37 locations around the world.

SD: What do you think are the worst cyberthreats today?

SureNet: TCP/IP-centric attacks are the epicenter for all cyberthreats today. Helix MSTN technology bypasses that entirely by having innovated a unique protocol for data transmission on level 2 of the OSI model. It is untraceable technology, and that has tremendous value for our customers.
