Nord Security, the company behind one of the leading VPNs on the market, has announced an upcoming eSIM service product that’s expected to officially launch later this year. Nord Security first posted about Saily, the new eSIM service, on the website’s blog this week.

“With travel and remote work on the rise, an eSIM app is now more crucial than ever. Here at Nord Security, we believe that simple and affordable technology is of utmost importance. That’s why we’re so excited to introduce Saily — an eSIM app that saves you time and money and even helps you avoid unpleasant situations,” said Vykintas Maknickas, head of product strategy at Nord Security.

Nord Security revealed little about the service, but Maknickas hinted that users won’t need to use public Wi-Fi to access the internet with Saily.

“When traveling, you want to have continuous access to the internet, but that’s not always easy. Even if there’s a coffee shop nearby with an open Wi-Fi network, you don’t want to risk exposing your device to a network you’re not sure is secure. Saily will ensure that you don’t need to use public Wi-Fi networks you don’t trust to access the internet,” Maknickas said in a statement.

An eSIM offers notable advantages over a traditional one, such as convenience and flexibility. This technology allows users to easily switch service providers or access international networks without the hassle of physically swapping SIM cards.

The product is currently in its internal testing phase, with the beta version set to be released in the first quarter of this year. Anyone interested in being one of the first users to try the eSIM can register on the official Saily website by entering their email address, starting today.

In addition to NordVPN, which is one of the best VPNs out there, Nord Security offers other digital security tools, including NordPass, a secure password manager, NordLocker, its encrypted cloud storage, and NordLayer, an advanced network access security solution.
