You don’t have to trade usability for protection, and your brand can stand out and stay safe at the same time.

In this exclusive interview with Website Planet, Muhammad Anzal, Marketing Manager at Zoviz, explains how Zoviz is empowering everyone to build unique, identity-driven brands while ensuring privacy through strong encryption, secure logins, and GDPR compliance.

Introductions first — What problem does your company solve, and for whom?

At Zoviz, we solve the problem of bland, cookie-cutter branding that’s become all too common. Our platform helps businesses, freelancers, and creators design unique logos and full brand kits without using recycled icons or generic templates. We give our users the tools and creative freedom to build something truly theirs—a brand that stands out and reflects their authentic identity.

Was there a defining moment when cybersecurity became real for you? How did that incident reshape your approach to security and privacy?

While we haven’t had a “defining” cybersecurity moment, we understand how important it is to protect the data of our users. In a world that’s becoming increasingly digital, ensuring data security is a top priority for us. That’s why we’ve put strong encryption, secure authentication, and regular system audits in place to make sure that our users’ information stays private and protected.

How do you currently protect customer and employee data? Can you walk us through any policies, tools, or frameworks you rely on?

We take a comprehensive approach to data protection at Zoviz. All customer data is encrypted both in transit and at rest, and we use secure authentication systems to keep accounts safe. We also stay compliant with privacy laws like GDPR and ensure our internal policies are always up to date. Our platform relies on these security measures to protect everyone who uses it, from our customers to our employees.

How do you balance usability with security when designing or choosing new solutions? What features are non-negotiable for you, and why?

Usability and security go hand in hand for us. Our goal is to make the platform user-friendly without compromising on security. Features like encryption, secure logins, and data protection are non-negotiable for us. We know that if users feel like their data is secure, they’ll be more comfortable and confident using the platform to create something unique.

You’ve likely worked with eternal providers along the way. What qualities separated good partners from the bad ones? Any tips, red flags, or lessons that you can share from your experience?

Great partners are transparent, reliable, and responsive. They take the time to understand your needs and offer solutions that actually work for you. On the flip side, partners who fail to communicate effectively or make unrealistic promises are definitely red flags. One thing I’ve learned is that you need to do your due diligence. Always ask the tough questions and ensure that your partners are as invested in your long-term success as you are.

What emerging risks concern you the most today, and why? How are you preparing, and what do you expect from vendors in helping you face these challenges?

The rise of cyberattacks on SaaS platforms is a huge concern. As more businesses shift online, the threats are getting more sophisticated. We’re preparing by enhancing our security measures and staying on top of the latest trends and best practices. From our vendors, we expect them to be proactive—keeping us in the loop with security updates and offering solutions that help us safeguard our platform against new risks.

To wrap up, if you could share one tip from your experience to other companies building their security posture, what would it be?

My tip is simple: don’t treat security as an afterthought. Make it a priority from day one. Regularly audit your systems and stay compliant with privacy regulations like GDPR. When your customers trust that you’ve got their back, it builds a solid foundation for your business.
