F-Secure’s Key is a weird mix of features. For one, the application offers a decent free plan, with multi-device sync as the only paid feature. And while the software works perfectly fine as a password storage solution, it has a bland browser extension with no unique features like 1Password’s Watchtower.
Also, F-Secure’s Key is missing contact features and a 2FA system, which is a significant feature missing for no reason. The autofill system is somewhat hard to access as well when it should be one of the easiest features to enable. I like its recovery system, however. Your data is stored safely on your device, and the company never has access to your master password. It reminds me of 1Password’s fantastic “Emergency Kit” recovery system. Just be sure to keep your QR code securely stored away.
